About Us

The Multimedia & Print Center is extraordinarily well-equipped to meet the University's changing communication needs.

We are currently in the process of expanding our selection of products and services—and we are always open to suggestions. Have a need we're not meeting? Let us know. Want a product we don't currently offer? Tell us what it is. E-mail us at customerservice@psu.edu or call us at 814-865-7544. We're excited about the possibilities. And we hope you are, too.

Our History

We have been a part of the Penn State community since the 1930s. First known as Printing Services, we were housed in a three-story building on the west side of campus until December 1975, when we moved to our current location in Hostetter Building. Hostetter was constructed especially for us—and one of the very first employees to move into the building is still employed by the Penn State Multimedia & Print Center today.

We continued to expand our services and facilities over the years, adding a mailing and addressing wing in the mid-1980s and periodically updating our equipment. We were the first printer in the State College area to offer desktop publishing and the first to open a film and image center. We remain deeply committed to providing our customers with the most cutting-edge resources available.

We enjoy a special relationship with each one of our customers. They know they can count on us for innovative solutions and exceptional service—and that we wholeheartedly support the entire University community. We work closely with the Department of University Publications to ensure that all University communications—both print and electronic—present a consistent image. In addition, we print diplomas and commencement bulletins—and we are the primary provider of official University stationery.

We are proud to be Penn Staters—and we look forward to serving the University community for many years to come.
