Q: Where are you located?
A: Our administrative offices are in Hostetter Business Services Building, which is located on Services Road, behind the Flower Gardens. We also operate five CopyCentral locations.
Q: What kinds of services do you provide?
A: We offer everything from printing and mailing to graphic design services. We will work with you to find a budget-friendly solution to your communication needs—and we will coordinate your project from start to finish.

Q: How can I get Penn State business cards and other stationery?
A: All University stationery, including business cards, letterhead, envelopes, mailing labels, and memo pads, must be obtained from the Multimedia & Print Center, which is the sole provider of official University stationery. Before printing your stationery, the Multimedia & Print Center will ensure that it meets the strict editorial and style guidelines established by the Department of University Publications.
Q: What payment methods do you accept?
A: We recommend that you have fees for Multimedia & Print Center services and products direct-billed to your account. E-mail notification is sent to your financial officer when the direct bill is posted to your account, and you can easily view the invoice online. That way, you don’t need to wait for a paper invoice.
While direct bill is the most convenient way to pay for Multimedia & Print Center products and services, you may also pay with an IDCC or a Penn State Purchasing Card.
Q: Can I view invoices online?
A: Yes. You can view all of the invoices associated with your account online.
Q: What types of software programs do you use?
A: For design and production, we use QuarkXPress, PageMaker, FreeHand, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, PowerPoint, Microsoft Publisher, Microsoft Word, WordPerfect, and a variety of other software programs. For data files, we accept Access, Microsoft Excel, WordPerfect, Microsoft Word, and FileMaker Pro.
We are also able to work with files produced in programs not listed above. If you don’t see a particular software program listed, contact a Customer Service Representative at 814-865-7544 for more information.
Q: Do you use Macs or PCs?
A: We use both Macs and PCs.
Q: I need to make some changes to a piece you printed for me in the past, and I don’t want to retype all the content. What is the best way to submit these changes?
A: To make changes to a previously printed order, alert your Customer Service Representative. Minor changes (e.g., changing a few words or a U.Ed. number) can be relayed to your Customer Service Representative, but in the case of more extensive changes, we may ask that you make the changes to the original file and resubmit that file to us. Contact a Customer Service Representative at 814-865-7544 for more information.
Q: What is the best way for me to transfer my electronic files to you?
A: Files larger than 10 MB must be burnt to a Zip disk or a CD. We can only accept e-mailed files if the file is less than 10 MB.

Q: Will I see a proof of my piece before it is printed?
A: We provide proofs for all new orders and reprints with changes. If your piece is a reprint and no changes have been made, you will not receive a proof unless you request one.
Q: How will I receive my proof?
A: Proofs for online stationery orders are e-mailed to you as a pdf. Proofs for other types of jobs can be sent to your office by courier, faxed to you, or e-mailed to you as a pdf. You can also stop by our office to review these proofs in person. Just let us know which option you prefer.
Q: What is the maximum size your poster-maker can output?
A: Our poster-maker can produce pieces up to 42 inches wide and 100 feet long.
