Mail Service to
Hurricane-Affected Areas

The United States Postal Service is currently not able to deliver mail to many of the areas affected by Hurricane Katrina. While first-class mail is still being delivered to some ZIP Codes in hurricane-damaged areas of Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana, other ZIP Codes in these areas have limited mail service or no service at all.

Before sending mail to the affected states, visit the “Hurricane Katrina Service Updates” page on the United States Postal Service Web site for a list of ZIP Codes that are not able to receive mail. Addresses in the affected ZIP Codes will be removed from any mailing lists sent to the Multimedia & Print Center for bulk-mail processing.
